Say What You Want given French Guineas option

Say What You Want has been given an entry in the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches or French 1000 Guineas. The race takes place at ParisLongchamp on the 16th of May.

Say What You Want finished third on her debut in a Curragh maiden at the end of last season and was given a Racing Post rating of 82 for the run, which is notably high for a first time out effort.

Since coming back into training this season, she has taken her work in her stride and after her recent piece of work up the Old Vic gallop, Jack and Ronan Whelan decided that it was best to give her an entry in the Guineas as she has plenty of potential. They decided that there was no point in not having the entry given the way she has improved since last year and it’s important to plan ahead in these situations.

The reason that Jack and Ronan chose the French version of the Guineas was because normally there is a bit of give in the ground in that race. The ground is generally not as quick as it is it would be in Ireland or the UK at that time.

There is a long way to go but we believe we have a racehorse and we will treat her as such until she tells us otherwise.

The dream is a live.
